I'm feeling Weary

For when you are worn out and have nothing left.

A word for you

But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary.

Isaiah 40:31

Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28

Something to hold on to

SOME PEOPLE WILL LISTEN. OTHERS WILL WALK AWAY. SOME MAY FEIGN INTEREST FOR THEIR OWN REASONS. DO NOT GIVE UP. YOU ARE DOING WHAT YOU BELIEVE IS RIGHT. LET NO ONE TAKE THAT AWAY FROM YOU. SOME WORDS MAY FALL ON DEAF EARS, BUT OTHERS WILL BE HEARD BY OPEN HEARTS. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. — Galatians 6:9

1. It's About What Jesus Did, Not What You Do

When you come to God, you aren't saved by trying to be perfect. You are saved because of what Jesus already did for you.

  • You don't qualify yourself by your own good deeds. His love and his sacrifice are what qualify you.
  • Don't try to change everything overnight. Real change takes time; rushing it only leads to faking it.
  • Even if you slip up or make a mistake, don't quit. Even a good man falls down, but he gets right back up again.
  • As long as you lean on Him, you are completely safe. The enemy wants you to panic and ask, "How can I ever fix myself?" The answer is simple: you don't fix it by yourself—you rely on Him.

2. A Brand New Start

When you choose God's truth, you aren't just "trying to behave better." You are made brand new on the inside.

  • The old habits and the old life might still be around you, but they no longer define who you are.
  • Sin doesn't have to stick to you or stain you anymore, because your heart is being cleaned and renewed by God.
  • A lot of religious folks make the mistake of relying on themselves instead of relying on God. But real power comes from leaning entirely on Him, not on your own strength.

3. Beware of Fault-Finding and Confusion

The Bible warns that people can easily get misled by fancy talk and false ideas:

1 TIMOTHY 4:1
"In the last days many will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils."

  • Being enticed into wrong thinking doesn't mean someone is out worshipping evil—it usually just means your thinking got twisted away from simple truth.
  • A big warning sign of false religion is when people become judgmental—spending all their time pointing out everyone else's flaws and calling others "fake."
  • A true man or woman of God shows who they are by their love and actions, not by arguing or judging.

4. Don't Try to Walk the Path Alone

Nobody figures God out entirely in a vacuum.

  • Throughout history, faith was passed down from person to person—a mother, a sister, a trusted teacher who showed you the way.
  • Too many people get stuck arguing over verses while having zero love or spiritual understanding in their hearts.
  • Remember: people knew and loved God through relationships and real truth long before books were printed. Don't let arguments over rules replace knowing Him.

5. Freedom is the Proof

Real truth brings peace and freedom—not heavy chains.

  • Ironically, overly religious people are often the hardest to help. They get stuck doing things that don't work, and they refuse to admit it.
  • If you want to grow in life, listen to people who are actually living with peace, wisdom, and success.
  • Don't go asking for help only to argue with the person trying to help you. Be humble enough to receive.

6. God Doesn't Want to Deprive You

Some religious teachings make it sound like God wants you miserable, broke, and empty. That is simply not true.

  • Some tell you it's unholy to marry, or unholy to eat certain foods. But God created good things for us to enjoy!
  • You can enjoy blessings, success, and good things in life—as long as those things don't end up owning you.
  • God wants you to prosper, be healthy, and have your soul flourish. If having something will pull you away from Him, He will keep it from you for your own good. But if it keeps you close to Him, He loves to give it to you.

7. Be an Encourager, Not a Judge

  • You don't represent Christ by running around telling everyone they are wrong and need to repent.
  • True faith means living in the truth yourself, excelling in the gifts God gave you, and using your life to lift other people up.
