What we collect
Visitor log
Like most websites, we keep a basic log of site visits for security, troubleshooting, and understanding general site usage. This log records the page viewed, approximate location (derived from IP address), device type, browser, and referring site (if any). It does not include your name, email address, or other directly identifying information unless you separately provide it (e.g. by subscribing or contacting us).
Daily Verse email sign-up
If you sign up to receive the Daily Verse by email, we collect the email address you provide. This is sent to our email service provider (Acumbamail) via an automation tool (Pabbly Connect) for the purpose of sending you the daily verse email.
We use
double opt-in: after signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email and must click the link in it before you're added to the list. This confirms you own the email address and genuinely want to receive the emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email you receive.
Visit streak (cookie)
If you visit the Daily Verse page, a small cookie on your own device keeps track of how many consecutive days you've visited, so we can show you a "day streak" badge. This is stored only in your browser, isn't sent to us or any third party, and doesn't identify you.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on the site, the information you submit (e.g. name, email, message) is sent to us to respond to your inquiry. It is not added to any mailing list unless you separately opt in.
What we don't do
- We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We do not collect more personal information than necessary for the purposes above.
Third parties we use
We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to help run the site, including a web hosting provider and an email delivery service (used only if you've subscribed to the Daily Verse). Each of these providers processes data solely to perform the specific function we use them for, and is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable data protection law. We don't share your data with them for any purpose beyond running the site and, where applicable, sending the Daily Verse email you signed up for.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent (e.g. unsubscribing from the Daily Verse email) at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@spiritualway.online.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
